The following is a sample itinerary.
Okavango Delta / Chobe National Parks, Botswana
@ U$280 x 7 days = U$1960
Day 1: Arrive per Air Botswana in Maun. Optional
flip (1 hour flight) over the Delta strongly recommended.
Alternatively, we do our last minute preparations in town. We spend
the night at one of the local camps just outside town.
Day 2 - 4: Enjoy the wealth of game, birdlife and
scenic splendour of one of the best wildlife areas in the world.
Morning and afternoon game drives provide for more than enough game
viewing (including the Big Five) and relaxation. Camping in a real
safari-style tented camp, with the game in and around camp, is Africa
at its best.
Day 5: We transfer further north east, across the
sand ridge, Mababe depression and Savuti marsh to Savuti - the
stolen river". This remote desert landscape provides extraordinary
views and sunsets. It is something to experience, and cannot be
described. Overnight Savuti.(camping)
Day 6: Early in the morning (whilst the sand is still
cold), we negotiate the extreme 4x4 road conditions to make our
way to the Chobe River near Kasane. An afternoon sunset-cruise on
the Chobe River ends the day in style. Overnight Kasane.
Day 7: Catch connecting flight to Johannesburg International.
Options
Two additional days could be added to visit Victoria Falls and to
return to Johannesburg from Victoria Falls. This safari could also
be done in reverse, departing from Victoria Falls or Kasane to end
in Maun.
Conditions
All inclusive safaris on offer to international guests. Rates include
all transfers (excluding connecting flights), entrance fees, accommodation,
guides, 2 meals a day and all excursions as per itinerary.
Minimum 2 people, maximum 10.
U$ 1960 per person sharing.
